Renovation and Carpentry in Seremban
Our workshop is in Galla Industrial Park, about ten minutes from Seremban town. Kitchen cabinets, wardrobes and fitted joinery are cut, edged and assembled here, then installed by the same two people who built them.
Seremban housing is unusually mixed for a town of its size. Rahang, Temiang and Rasah are full of single-storey terraces from the 1970s and 1980s, where the original kitchen sits at the back of the house with a small yard behind it. Sikamat, Paroi and Ampangan added double-storey terraces through the 1990s. The newer gated clusters sit further out, towards Sendayan and Labu. A carpentry plan that works in one of those does not transfer to another, because the ceiling heights, the wall build and the position of the wet area are all different.
The most common job we take on in town is an older terrace where the owner wants the cooking moved. The dry kitchen goes where the old dining area was, the wet work goes out to the covered yard, and the cabinets have to bridge a step in the floor and a change in wall material. That is a measuring problem before it is a joinery problem, which is why we come out and measure rather than quoting from a floor plan.

- Rahang and Temiang
- Older single-storey terraces. Solid brick walls, low beams over the kitchen doorway, and a rear yard that most owners want brought into the wet kitchen.
- Rasah and Rasah Jaya
- A mix of link houses and older bungalows. Deep plans, so the middle of the house is dark and the carpentry usually has to carry the lighting.
- Sikamat and Paroi
- Double-storey terraces with a standard staircase wall that suits a full-height storage run and a shoe cabinet at the entry.
- Ampangan and Mambau
- Newer terraces and semi-detached units. Plaster ceilings already in place, so cabinet heights have to be set off the finished ceiling rather than the slab.
- Taman AST and Oakland
- Commercial-adjacent housing with narrow frontages. Islands rarely fit; a galley run with a tall pantry usually does.

- Where the workshop is. Owners in town are welcome to come and see a carcass being edged before they commit to anything.

How long does a Seremban terrace house take?
Carpentry for a standard double-storey terrace runs four to eight weeks from confirmed measurements to installed, and most of that is workshop time rather than time in your house. Cutting, edging and assembly happen in Galla; the house is only occupied for the install itself, which is usually three to six working days depending on how many rooms are involved.
The clock starts at the final measure, not at the first conversation. If tiling, plastering or wiring is still moving, the measurement is not final and we would rather wait than cut to a dimension that changes.
Do you handle the wet kitchen as well as the dry one?
Yes, and in Seremban that is usually the whole point of the job. The dry kitchen takes the cabinetry that is on show, and the wet kitchen behind it takes the heat, the wok and the water. Those two areas want different materials, not the same run of cabinets extended through a doorway.
Where the rear yard is being enclosed, we plan the wet run against the new wall rather than the old one, and we leave the service gap the plumber needs behind the sink cabinet instead of boxing it in.
Can I see the workshop before I commit?
Come to Galla Industrial Park and look at what is on the bench. You can see how a carcass is edged, what the difference between two door finishes actually looks like in daylight rather than in a photograph, and how a soft-close runner feels once it is loaded. Most people find that fifteen minutes in the workshop settles more questions than an hour of messages.
There is no showroom and no salesperson. What is on the bench that week is what you will see, which is the honest version of a factory visit.
What do you need from me to quote?
Room measurements or a floor plan, a photograph of the space as it stands, and a rough idea of which rooms are in scope. From that we can talk about material and layout. A firm figure comes after we measure on site, because a quotation built on someone else's plan is a guess dressed up as a number.

Getting to your house from the workshop
Anywhere in Seremban town is a short run for us, which matters more than it sounds. A short haul means we can bring one piece back to the workshop, adjust it and return the same day, instead of asking you to accept something that nearly fits.
For town addresses we usually deliver in one load and install straight off the lorry. Older streets in Rahang and Temiang can be tight for a three-tonne lorry, so we check the approach on the measuring visit and bring a smaller vehicle where the corner will not take it.

- Yes. A single wardrobe or one shoe cabinet is a normal job, and it is often how people try us before a bigger phase.
- Who installs the carpentry?
- The same two people who built it. Nothing about the install is subcontracted, so the person tightening the hinge is the person who cut the door.
- Do you work with an existing renovation contractor?
- Often. If tiling and wiring are already with someone else, we take the carpentry scope and coordinate the measure around their programme.
